About Me

I’m Elliot. I have a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Queensland and I’m currently pursuing further study to obtain a PhD. My PhD revolves around MRI mainly with regard to gradient coils.

I am a Co-founder of HSK Instruments and we are working to make a new smarter respiratory physiotherapy device. We are using games and technology to encourage regular respiratory exercise. Its rewarding work and I’m honored to be doing it.

I enjoy running, rock climbing and cycling. I also take photos every now and then. I read quite a lot of books both fiction and non fiction. In terms of fiction I am quite partial to works by Brandon Sanderson and Brent Weeks, I would suggest you check them out.

I do a lot of programming and electronics outside of my professional/academic life.

I’m a bit of a sucker for productivity and stats.

If you want to get in contact with me the easiest was is probably Twitter or by email (elliot.smith91@gmail.com).
